Jing Fu was born in Shanghai, China. She began studying art at a young age and then afterwards she moved to Canada. During her many years of art practice, Jing learned that traditional Chinese painting seldom follows a scientific perspective or provides realistic portrayals but gives the artist the freedom to pursue subjective feelings. Her most recent works echo the natural world within the framework of peace and harmony. She approaches each work by blending the lifelike and the unlike, reflecting her love of nature. She tries to use her language, derived from her traditional Western painting and Chinese ink painting, to create a space that is an artistic conception based on nature.
Since 2002, Jing has attended many groups and solo shows with galleries and museums, represented by a gallery in Muskoka for over eight years. There are numerous private collectors across the United States and Canada. Since 2019, Jing has been elected as vice-president of the Canadian Oil Painting Academy and she has also curated several group shows since then.
